Why We Need Donations?
Cubby's Crusade, Inc. focuses on rescuing special needs and seniors so our expenses are extremely high. All the animals in our organization receive complete medical care so we have very high vet bills along with transport costs, food and supplies.
We also never cut corners when it comes to vetting and do whatever it takes to get them healthy again. This includes full dentals on whoever our vets determine need them, heartworm treatment, chemo and radiation for those with cancer, rehab for those with neurological issues or bone and joint problems/ injuries, and the list goes on and on. Once we commit to an animal we do whatever it takes to get them healthy again and that much closer to finding their furever home.

Why fosters are so important to a rescue group like ours?
Cubby's Crusade, Inc. is a 100% FOSTER BASED non-profit rescue organization... this means that our rescue group does not have a physical shelter location where we keep our animals. We rely solely on fosters since all of the dogs and cats we save are placed into loving and caring foster homes until they are adopted.
It’s simple: the more people who open their homes for fostering, the more dogs and cats we can save. And not only is it an extremely rewarding way to give to our organization it also costs nothing to do. We as the rescue provide everything the dog or cat needs including food, flea and tick treatment, heartworm preventative, collar, leash, etc.. We also pay for all vetting so nothing comes out of the fosters pocket.

Why Someone Looking for a Pet Should Adopt?
This is a easy one... It's because each year, it's estimated that more than one million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the United States, simply because too many pets end up in the shelters and too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet.
The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them. When you adopt, you save a loving animal by making them part of your family and open up the space for another animal who might desperately need it.
